AFFORDABLE SEDATION DENTISTRY IN Cypress

DON'T LET YOUR DENTAL ANXIETY MAKE YOU MISS YOUR DENTIST APPOINTMENTS EVER AGAIN

You might believe that good brushing and flossing habits are the key to a beautiful and healthy smile. Dental phobia, a rarely discussed issue, prevents many people from keeping their smiles in good shape. Dental phobia can keep patients from going to the dentist on a regular basis for cleanings and exams, preventing them from receiving necessary treatments. These people frequently postpone going to the dentist until their cavity or gum disease is at its worst.

Sedation dentistry at Nu Dentistry Cypress can make even the most anxious patients feel safe and at ease while receiving necessary dental treatment. What is the definition of sedation dentistry? Dentist sedation employs safe but powerful drugs to increase comfort and relaxation in the dental chair. It can be inhaled as a gas or administered as a tablet or IV, depending on the strength and type. With sedation, you can always feel stress-free and at ease, regardless of the treatment or the severity of your dental fear.

Dental sedation is also an excellent option for patients who require multiple same-day treatments or who require extensive work such as tooth extractions or dental implants. Our sedation dentists are experts at providing our patients with the best dental experience possible. We have the necessary training to provide our sedation alternatives in a safe and timely manner, so you could be on your way to a healthier smile in no time! Simply arrange ahead of time for a friend or family member to pick you up after your appointment, if necessary.

Are you looking for a dental visit with no fear or anxiety? Call us and arrange your appointment.

SAME-DAY DENTAL WORK

DON'T WAIT TO HAVE YOUR SMILE PUT TO RIGHTS—GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED DONE IN ONE EASY VISIT

Because some patients may miss several dental cleanings in a row due to dental anxiety, it is not uncommon for multiple problems to arise in the meantime. Major procedures such as root canals and dental implant surgery can take time, and it can be difficult to fit multiple appointments into your already hectic schedule. Sedation, on the other hand, makes it simple and painless to complete all of your necessary procedures in a single visit.

Whatever dental treatment you need, oral and IV sedation dentistry will keep you calm and comfortable throughout your visit. Because our dentists can monitor and adjust your sedation levels throughout your procedure, IV sedation is especially beneficial. You can stay completely relaxed and enjoy your visits with us whether you're with us for two, three, or even eight hours. Don't worry, the time will fly by! To fully enjoy your time with us, feel free to watch your favorite movies and shows during these extended visits.

Sedation dentistry can help you make the most of your stressful dental appointments. Contact our dental office to discuss your sedation options with our dentists.

DENTAL SEDATION OPTIONS

NU DENTISTRY CYPRESS PROVIDES MULTIPLE SEDATION METHODS TO HELP OUR PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR TREATMENT OR ANXIETY LEVELS

ORAL PILL SEDATION

Oral sedation, taken an hour before via pill, is stronger than laughing gas and helps patients feel relaxed and drowsy while we work. Although it is a conscious sedation, many patients are so relaxed that they fall asleep! Patients may forget most or all of their appointments, which can be a relief for those who dislike remembering their dentist visits.

NITROUS OXIDE

Nitrous oxide is a colorless, sweet-smelling gas that you breathe in through a breathing mask placed over your nose. It is extremely quick-acting, so you can feel calm in just a few minutes. Nitrous oxide is the least sedating agent available, making it ideal for minor procedures. When the mask is removed, the nitrous oxide quickly wears off.

IV SEDATION

The most powerful method is IV sedation dentistry, which is popular with patients who have severe dental phobias or who require multiple major treatments in a single visit. It also acts quickly because it enters your bloodstream directly. Once activated, you will be in a semi-conscious state, where you will be relaxed and sleepy while still communicating with and responding to our dentists.

Sedation Dentistry FAQ

WE PROVIDE CLARITY ON YOUR COMMON QUERIES

  • Dental sedation is perfectly safe with the right training and when administered properly. Our dentists are experienced in all sedation methods available here at Nu Dentistry. Your safety is our top priority. We will perform a thorough checkup before your dental work, including discussing your medical history, to ensure your chosen sedation is right for you. During the appointment itself, we will monitor you closely to make sure you are doing and feeling great.

  • We have a wide variety of dental anxiety treatment options available at Nu Dentistry. For more severe dental phobia, sedation dentistry can often work wonders. However, with less severe dental anxiety, keeping your mind distracted and off of your treatment is often enough. This can include maintaining breathing exercises or daydreaming in the dental chair. However, each of our office’s patient rooms has two televisions, one in front and the other on the ceiling, and Bluetooth headphones so you can stream movies and shows during your visits.

  • This depends on the type of dental sedation you choose and how long it is needed. Laughing gas and oral sedation are less costly than IV sedation. IV sedation costs can vary based on an hourly rate. Additionally, most dental insurance providers do not cover dental sedation. However, our dental office has several alternative options to make financing all of your dental work easy and stress-free.

  • With nitrous oxide, the effects will wear off within minutes of removing the breathing mask. You’ll be able to drive yourself to work and go about your normal day. However, with deeper oral and IV sedation, the effects will linger for hours after your appointment. Your sense of judgement, coordination, and memory might feel a little jumbled up, so it is better to stay at home until the effects wear off fully. You can’t drive a car or operate any machinery for 24 hours afterward, so make sure to plan ahead and have someone take you home. You also shouldn’t use public

  • With nitrous oxide, you will quickly start feeling happy and giddy, and you might start laughing or smiling for no reason. Oral and IV sedation instead make you more relaxed and drowsy. The exact effects can vary depending on the person, but many patients experience feeling tired, heavy, sluggish, or like the world around them is slowed down. You may notice your arms, hands, legs, and feet feeling tingly.

  • As its name suggests, conscious sedation does not make you fall asleep for your procedure. This allows our dentists to easily communicate with you while we work. However, depending on the type of sedation, many patients feel sleepy enough to nod off during treatment. This is a natural sleep, and we can easily wake you up if necessary to ask any questions.

"Always finds a way to fit us in..."

We have been looking for a family dentist for a long time, we have tried a bunch of places but nothing felt quite like home. Not too long ago we stumbled upon Nu Dentistry and met Dr. Ali. Not only was he professional, kind, and gentle, but he always finds a way to fit us in when we need an appointment. He’s also pretty funny! I appreciate that he takes the time to explain what he’s doing, before he does it. That really puts me at ease.

"I'm part of the family..."

When I come in for an exam, Dr. Alrajab makes me feel like I’m a part of his family. I haven’t had a single cavity or filling done since I started coming here, which is a real change from my last hygienist.

"The process was a breeze..."

I usually have such huge anxiety when I go to a dentist appointment, which means I always put off visits until the last minute to disastrous consequences. However, Dr. Loggins helped me with sedation, so the entire process was a breeze!

"The dentist is actually fun now..."

I never thought I’d say it, but going to the dentist is actually fun now. I recently came in for a root canal, and I got to sit back and catch up on Stranger Things without any pain!
